There
are
some
people
who
just
never
slow
down.
Rumor
has
it
that
Charita
Nemec
recently
retired
from
her
job
as
English
teacher
and
Drama
director
at
Canon-McMillan
High
School
so
maybe
that
means
Charita
has
slowed
down
but
you
can't
convince
us.
Charita
just
completed
her
first
directing
job
for
Little
Lake;
a
production
of
Neil
Simon's Fools about
which
one
critic
stated:
"This
production
bubbles
along
merrily
thanks
to
director
Charita
Nemec."
Fools
finished
its
highly
successful
run
in
mid
July
but
lest
you
think
that
has
slowed
Charita
down,
bear
in
mind
that
she
is
also
Administrator
for
the
Looking
Glass
Theatre,
Secretary
for
the
Board
of
Directors,
Coordinator
of
this
year's
Apprentice
Showcase,
and
the
Lake's
unofficial
groundskeeper.
Her
husband
Ed
(whose
picture
we
won't
show
here
for
purely
aesthetic
reasons)
is
her
willing
assistant
and,
it
must
be
noted,
our
handy
man
in
residence.
During
the
run
of
Fools,
Ed
was
called
into
service
when
a
medical
emergency
kept
an
actor
out
of
the
show
for
a
few
nights.
Ed,
who
had
never
been
on
stage
before
except
to
move
furniture
or
replace
a
loose
piece
of
molding,
bravely
stepped
in.
Those
fortunate
few
who
saw
him
were
most
impressed
with
his
work
and
the
casting
offers
came
pouring
in.
To
everyone's
relief,
he
turned
them
down.
Charita
is
the
actress
in
the
family--76
roles
to
be
exact.
Many
thanks
to
Ed
&
Charita
for
their
hard
work
and
dedication
to
the
Lake
over
many
years.
Keep
up
the
good
work.
