Apprentice Program
Little Lake's Apprentice Program is a unique opportunity for young adults, aspiring theatre artists, to participate in the many rewards of creating theater.
In 2011, 36 students from Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Peters Township, Canonsburg, Chartiers-Houston, Avella and Burgettstown participated in our May- December Apprentice Program.
In exchange for participation in behind-the-scenes volunteer work on prop and technical crews, ushering and other responsibilities, our apprentices receive both formal workshop and hands-on training from some of the area’s best actors, directors and designers in acting and all aspects of production work. Many apprentices participate as actors in Mainstage, Looking Glass Theatre and Fall Family Matinee productions. And, Little Lake apprentices are given the opportunity to participate as a technician/designer or perform in an annual Apprentice Showcase.
If you are 14-19 years of age, and would look forward to working with other young adults who also love theater, Little Lake’s Apprentice Program may be the perfect fit for you. Contact Sunny Disney Fitchett at sunny@littlelake.org.
